ZOOM Directions: Online psychotherapy and coaching is provided at Wellflow & Co. Please click here to download the Zoom application in advance of your upcoming session. You must complete the Intake Form in to obtain the Zoom link for your session. Please save this link as it is the same one to use each time. We ask first-time Zoom users to download and install the application at least one hour prior to your first session.

If using a laptop or desktop computer:

For first-time users – Zoom will appear on screen to start the app download. “Save” the execution file, then “Click Zoom…exe”. Zoom is a privacy-protected app so please select “Install anyway”. Select “YES” to allow Zoom to make changes to your computer. Enter your name and then select “Join Meeting”. Type in the Meeting ID and click “Join”. The meeting ID is the 10-digit number in the link.

For mobile phone users:

Download the Zoom app to your device. Click on the meeting link. Enter your name and select “Join Meeting”.

Psychotherapy

According to the American Psychological Association, psychotherapy involves communication between clients and therapists that is intended to help people find relief from emotional distress, seek solutions to problems in their lives, and modify ways of thinking and acting that are preventing them from working productively and enjoying personal relationships.


Social Work

A Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW) is a separate class of the Registered Social Worker designation which recognizes advanced practice skills in mental health and clinical social work, typically counselling and psychotherapy, human development, and mental health disorders.

Carolyn Charest, MC, R.Psych is the Clinical Director/Owner of Wellflow & Co. She has been a Registered Psychologist for the past 10+ years. She currently practices psychotherapy in Western Canada as she is registered in both British Columbia (#2630) and Alberta (#3782). She has also worked as an Executive Coach with clients that work in industries such as healthcare, engineering, government and design. She began her career path when she became a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in British Columbia in 2010 after completing an internship in Vancouver. She has a Master of Counselling from the Campus Alberta Applied Psychology Counselling Initiative through the University of Calgary, Athabasca and Lethbridge, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Calgary. Moreover, Carolyn has a Competent Communicator and Leader designation from Toastmasters International, and Associate Certified Coach (ACC) designation from the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Carolyn has additional training in therapeutic modalities such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT). She has worked within a number of public and corporate settings with individuals, couples and families experiencing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief/loss, OCD, addictions, eating disorders, anger management, marital issues, life transitions and conflict management.

Carolyn is committed to living an active and healthy lifestyle. She enjoys cycling and hiking with her family, friends and golden retriever on the North Shore.

Natalie Phung MSW, RCSW has been a Registered Clinical Social Worker since 2011. She is currently registered in both British Columbia (#15547) and Alberta (#10371, Clinical #17386). She has a Masters of Social Work from the University of Calgary. She has worked with adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, relationship issues, grief/loss, ADHD, personality disorders, and emotional regulation difficulties. Additionally, she has extensive experience working with trauma in first responders.

Natalie is trained in advanced techniques such as mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cogntive Behavioural Conjoint Therapy (CBCT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Experiencing a difficult time can be very isolating, but Natalie wants you to know that you are not alone. Maya Angelou once said, “there is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside of you.” While therapy can seem daunting and you may feel vulnerable, sharing your story can ease the burden. Natalie will help by being a witness to your pain and together, as a team, find ways to renew your sense of hope.

In her own time, Natalie enjoys spending time with family and friends, living an active lifestyle, and throwing the ball for her hazel eyed cockapoo named Eeyore. She is also a handler for a Certified Post Traumatic Stress Disorder Service Dog.
